Humpty Dumpty
Snack Foods Inc. manufactures, markets and distributes potato
chips and other salty snack food products under the Humpty Dumpty
brand name, one of the most well-recognized snack food brands
in eastern Canada and the northeastern United States. The Company
also supplies a full line of private label snack food products
to leading retail chains.
With a unique 50-year heritage, the Humpty Dumpty brand is one
of the Company’s most valuable assets. In recent years,
the Company’s growth strategy has focused on leveraging
and enhancing its considerable brand equity. Brand revitalization
efforts, which were the product of extensive consumer research,
included an updated logo, packaging redesign, new product and
flavour launches, media advertising, and grassroots marketing
programs. Our “Go for More” brand credo epitomizes
what the Company represents: more taste, more unique products
and flavours, more quality and more fun.
The Company
has played a significant role in the consolidation of the
salty snack food industry during the past decade. Strategic
acquisitions included the purchase of Humpty Dumpty Foods
Limited in 1994 and U.S.-based Humpty Dumpty Potato Chip Co.
in 2000. The successful integration of these acquisitions
has created a highly flexible and efficient manufacturing
and distribution network that serves a growing base of retail
customers and consumers.
Humpty
Dumpty operates four modern manufacturing facilities, with
space totalling over 580,000 square feet. With locations spanning
from Brampton, Ontario to Summerside, Prince Edward Island,
our manufacturing facilities are strategically located to
efficiently serve eastern Canada and the northeastern United
States.
Another
of the Company’s core strengths is its extensive direct-to-store
distribution network. This network, which includes both Company
salespeople and independent distributors, is responsible for
delivering fresh product to thousands of retail customers
on a daily basis, monitoring local consumer preferences, and
maximizing shelf and display space. The experience and commitment
of the sales force to retail excellence is a major contributor
to the Company’s success.
